Overall we are pretty fortunate to have some great swimming pools in our area; not only in Loughborough with its Leisure Centre and University pool which is probably second to none in the whole country, so much so that the athletes who will compete in the London 2012 Olympics for Japan will be making Loughborough their home for the duration.
We have a choice of pools that are spread across the borough, including Soar Valley and South Charnwood Leisure Centres, which are complemented by those located on school campuses but offer valuable additional sessions that are open to the public. Virtually all of them have family sessions, particularly during school holidays.
Now that it is getting colder outside and the days are starting to draw in, why not stay indoors to get some exercise whilst still having fun?
